We are a parent run Pre-School originating from a community playgroup set up in 1974. Now registered as an Early Years Provider with the Pre-School Learning Alliance, we still maintain the same happy, family-orientated ethos along with a strong emphasis on play. We work in close conjunction with Stoke Goldington First School and the local Mums and Tots group and have developed a strong network of parents, carers and supporters within many surrounding villages and towns. We are able to offer places funded by the Nursery Education Grant for 3 & 4 year olds.
Stoke Goldington Pre-School is registered with OFSTED (Office for Standards in Education).
Our Aims
Ofsted Report
Our last OFSTED inspection took place in March 2008 and reviewed the Pre-School against the National Standards for sessional day care.
Our Pre-School was rated "good" both in terms of "quality and standards of care" and "quality and standards of nursery education." An inspection judgement of "good" indicates that "this aspect of the provision is strong."
Copies of our last OFSTED reports are available for parents to view at any time. Alternatively, you can log on to the OFSTED website http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/oxcare_providers/list and enter our Unique Reference Number 141839 under the type ‘Care’ to view them online.
